Will and Penny are descendants of Stillingfleet tragedy survivor, John Fisher; and also share ancestors with Stephen Green, the Cawood hauling man, and his wife Ann Threadgold. We have also recently discovered we're related to the victim, Clarissa Sturdy.

By some coincidence, David and Will are descendants of Sarah and Elizabeth Hunt, both servants of the curate of the 1830's and '40's vicar of Stillingfleet, the Rev. David Markham, according to the 1851 Census of Great Horkesley, Essex. (The Rev. Markham moved there after his years in Stillingfleet).

Just goes to show what a small world it is!
